AppWorks portfolio company Dapper Labs have launched their Flow Playground, an interactive web interface that uses their new Cadence programming language.
There are a lot of wonderful things about this new interface and Cadence, but one that is quite interesting is the inspiration they took from Libra's development of Move, which creates a way for programmers to actually insert and manage a digital asset directly in the code.
Why is this important for smart contracts and digital assets?
It solves a lot of security problems and confusion about who controls an asset, and the Cadence language goes a long way with making this really clear.
You can try out the playground here: https://play.onflow.org/
And you can read up on the programming language evolutions here: https://docs.onflow.org/docs/introduction
Congrats to Dapper! On-chain innovation is really heating up.
If you are a founder building a startup in the Blockchain space, you will want to keep your eyes on our Accelerator page, as we will be launching our next applications for the new class very soon.
