法國坎城影展市場展（ Marché du Film - Festival de Cannes ）於台灣時間2021年7月13日午夜於沉浸式虛擬場館MOR ( Museum of Other Reality)舉辦頒獎典禮並揭曉得獎名單，臺師大特聘教授、新媒體藝術家黃心健VR以最新力作《輪迴》上集(Samsara Ep.1)自16部精采的入圍作品中脫穎而出，一舉奪下本屆最佳VR敘事大獎( Best VR Story)殊榮。

《輪迴》上集是首部獲頒此重要獎項的台灣原生VR作品，台灣驚人的VR創作實力再度揚名國際！

黃心健在頒獎典禮上致詞：「首先，感謝坎城評審團的肯定與鼓勵，很榮幸能夠得到最佳VR敘事大獎。也感謝 國立臺灣師範大學 National Taiwan Normal University 、 文化內容策進院 Taiwan Creative Content Agency 與VR 體感劇院 VR FILM LAB 的全力支援，才能讓《輪迴》得以順利地製作完成。由衷感謝所有參與製作《輪迴》的幕前、幕後製作人員，一起讓來自於台灣精彩VR作品，再次讓世界看見。」

《輪迴》的劇情牽動著生態、科技、資源分配與戰爭等多元議題，是一段人類自核毀滅後逃離地球的故事。殘存的人類嘗試在無垠的星際中，尋找下一個可以賴以生存的新星球，並以人工方式進化成一種新的生命體。但許多年過去了，人們漸漸發現其實自己永遠到不了夢想中的全新星球，他們只不過是在另一個時代，以不同的生命形式，一遍遍地返回地球。黃心健藉此反思深刻反思生命哲理，並應用了所謂「具身認知」的抽象概念，以此讓觀眾轉換到不同的肉體中，進而以全新的視角來體驗《輪迴》上集片中的世界觀。

作為全球最受矚目的影展項目之一，法國坎城影展市場展為一向是全球影人不容錯過的影壇趨勢指標。而今年度為減緩疫情衝擊，Cannes XR 單元與 VR 線上內容平台 VeeR 攜手合作，特別在虛擬場館 MOR中打造大型的影展會場。活動展間的呈現方式非常活潑豐富，坎城團隊打破了現實世界中音訊、材料與硬體限制，以超現實的效果來為全世界的觀眾提供最為華麗的展場體驗，從觀影、走紅毯、入座到致詞，與會者皆透過VR頭顯連線參與頒獎典禮，黃心健尤其驚豔於主辦單位為他打造的專區。以創新的虛擬形式舉辦典禮，也正契合了VR作為影界新猷的開創性。

《輪迴》上集繼三月榮獲美國西南偏南影展（ #SXSW）「虛擬劇場」項目最大獎殊榮「評審團獎」後，再度斬獲國際影展肯定，再次證明了台灣深厚的VR創作實力！完整版《輪迴》預計將於今年九月起展開全球影系列巡演，並將在今年10月回到台灣高雄，作為亞洲首映展出。欲一睹風采的台灣的影迷敬請期待！

🎉Taiwan's VR artist Hsin-Chien Huang Wins the Best VR Story Awards of Cannes XR‼️

The awards ceremony of Le Marché du Film will be held at midnight of July 13, 2021, at the Museum of Other Reality. The latest VR production by Distinguished Professor of NTNU, artist Hsin-Chien Huang, has been riding high among the other 16 nominated productions and bring home the prestigious "Best VR Story" award. " #Samsara Ep. 1" is the first native VR production from Taiwan to receive such honor and has once again put Taiwan on the map!
In the acceptance speech, Huang first mentioned that he would like to thank the jury for the recognition and encouragement. It was a great honor for him personally to win this award. He'd also like to thank the full support from NTNU, Taiwan Creative Content Agency and the VR FILM LAB of Kaohsiung Film Archive for making the production happen. Finally, he thanked all the crew members for showing the world how amazing the VR production from Taiwan.
The plot involves many different social issues, including ecology, technology, natural resource, and war. It's about a journey for humans after destroying the Earth with nukes. The survivors seek a new planet to carry on their lives in the limitless interstellar space, gradually evolve into a new life form artificially. Yet, after so many years, they have come to realize that they would never make it to the new planet that they have been dreaming of. They have been simply returning to the Earth in different life forms time after time. Huang uses the story to reflect on the philosophy of life and applies the concept of "embodied cognition" to teleport audiences to different bodies and experience the worldview of "Samsara" via a new perspective.
As one of the most famous film festivals globally, the Cannes Film Festival has always been a trial balloon for filmmakers around the globe. This year, to lower the impact of the pandemic, the Cannes XR has built a unique venue in the MOR (Museum of Ohter Reality) with VeeR VR , an online platform for virtual content, offering various exhibitions during the event. The team has broken down the barriers across materials, audio, and hardware, in reality, using surreal effects to provide the most magnificent viewing experience. From screening, walking on the red carpet, being seated to giving speeches, all the details are not left out through the VR headsets. Huang is especially impressed by the special area built for him by the host team. The ceremony is presented virtually innovatively, resonating with the groundbreaking feature in the VR film industry.
After winning the top award of the SXSW, "Jury Awards", "Samsara" has yet again captured the attention of another international film festival, testifying the profound and vibrant creativity of VR from Taiwan. The full version of "Samsara: will start its tour in September this year and come back to host its Asian premiere in Kaohsiung in October.

The moment I was crowned T battle winner- a televised reality drag competition in Thailand, I was on top of the world. Immediately after one of the judge’s friend (who was a psychic who always gave me the evil eyes) came up to me and said “I knew you were talented but I never liked you, I just don’t”
so I asked back why?
He replied “I don’t know, I don’t like your face and before the age of thirty you would become mentally unstable”
He robbed me of my happiness in the moment that I was supposed to celebrate my hard work of 3 months competing with a broken leg in a reality show and being able to win it despite being in a wheel chair for 6 weeks. I was furious for years at this “person” until I realized that NOONE had the power over me and my future like myself. The issue he had with me wasn’t even MY problem and I wasn’t even in it.
Well I am now 33 going on 34 and apparently he should change his day job....

Judging is easy
Some people quick to judge another
Because it's easy and for some it's normal

When we about to judge someone
Think how would it be like to walk in their shoes even it seems pretty on the surface
Everyone has a battle that they are fighting for

decisions could be
That might affect a person's life forever
Or their loved ones and being they care about
It's simpler to point out other's faults
then our own
It's simpler to misunderstand, gossip, lies and spread rumours
That most of the time we only know
half baked or one side of the story
Most of the time we judge people by their looks, dress and choices people make
Before understanding that some are bestowed and you don't know the
options they had to choose from
We all have our unique wars in life
Before we start to judge, bully,
criticise and mock others
Pause and reflect
The reality is, people will keep judging
no matter what you do, good or bad
This is a reality that we have to accept so
we can survive hurdles when people hurt us
Yet it's important to realise that
judging people badly should not be 'normal'
and encouraged
Learn to know someone in and out and
this takes time, patience, trust and loyalty
Understand people's life and
decisions are different
Don't judge someone because their sin is different from yours
Don't judge someone because they choose to live life differently
Don't judge someone because
you're not perfect
And never will be
If only we can together
Lift the fallen, restore the broken and
heal the hurting
And love and support each other
Including living beings around us
We have lived
A purposeful life

We’ve all done things in the past we’re not proud of. The best way for us to heal is to accept ourselves- every flaw and moment we’ve been ashamed of to learn to let go of those emotions to truly be happy.

Everyone has a story of their own & this one’s mine. I went through a lot as a child from learning how to cope with the death of my brother, sleeping in cars because we were either homeless or moving from place to place, and leaving my parents to have a better life.

I’ve learned that life moves on, either with or without you - so learn to live life happily, wholeheartedly. Work on yourself and learn to really love yourself by accepting who you were born to be.

經過漫長有如地獄般的愛情歷練，無論終點是什麼風景，我們都應該懂得＂心滿意足＂。
寫這首歌曲的時候真的是心力交碎，而且碎得一塌糊塗，那種對愛情失望而破碎的心靈，你有感受過嗎？
錄製這首歌曲時候，進了三次錄音室，都是淚流滿面的走出來，沒有一次成功的完成錄音。到第四次時候更是崩潰嚎哭，我不斷問自己應該怎麼辦？ 那時候加拿大已經不能再給我停留，要準備回香港了，事情已經不能再拖延，不錄完就真的前功盡廢了，每次都哭得停不了，怎麼可以完成呢？
於是再次豁出去，在錄音室一邊哭一邊錄，錄了好多個小時，直到凌晨4點多。才錄完主音旋律。錄完了之後又感覺少了些壓迫力，畢竟這首歌真的讓Lisa迷失在崩潰邊緣，那種疑幻疑真，徘徊得失之間的情感邊緣，迷幻而不實在的感覺，令Lisa決定在最後段的副歌部分多加幾重和聲。Lisa當刻隨心即興的和唱讓這個原本R&B的歌曲有了自己的靈魂。
「 心滿意足」告訴我們，懂得當刻的放下才能領匯心滿意足。
等待一個人回到妳的身邊，那種漫漫長夜的痛苦煎熬，日夜顛倒，自己卻逐漸失去了照顧自己的本能，每日心裡痛苦糾纏，歲月與時光同步逐漸逝去。
要努力的放下心裡唯一掛念和信任的那個「他」，近乎不可能，你能懂嗎？可是現實的一切一切，都太殘酷了...
當醒覺的那刻倒過來想，只要愛過，擁有過，自問真心愛過，享受過浪漫熱戀的時段，我們都應該「心滿意足」了吧。
雖然寫這首歌和錄唱的時候，Lisa還是處於沒放下糾纏的心態。可是面對現實的殘酷，壓抑著的情感是無法控制，激發了無可奈何的「心滿意足」的出現。
这首是繼＂沒關係＂之後寫的第二首歌曲，雖然說“沒關係”，可是心裡還是放不下， 也得說服自己要“心滿意足”。

這首歌有在「A1 Chinese Radio Toronto Canada」有播放過，，與商業電台 嘅《馬路的事 我哋的事》， 還有台灣電台「獨立音樂講堂 -第二十八集」（DJ罐頭）。

An Original Song from Lisa's song mind

When I wrote this song I was completely heart broken and had a really hard time recording it. Have you ever felt broken hearted and disappointed by love?
I entered the recording studio three times trying to record this song but each time I left in tears. I couldn't complete the recording. By the forth time I kept crying and crying. I kept asking myself what should I do? At that time I was no longer able to stay in Canada. I was ready to return to Hong Kong and my departure could not be delayed. How could I finish recording if I couldn't stop crying? So I tried again no matter how exhausted I was. I was crying in the studio and I recorded for many hours until it was 4 am. The main melody was recorded and I still felt it was not enough... something was still missing. So I added a few more harmonies to the last chorus to make it sound more full. When the harmonies in the last chorus were done, I felt relieved and was sure this is what I wanted. It gives a perfect “soul” addition to this R and B style of song. I always improvise, sing and  record as many tracks as possible to make my original songs as best as they can be . 

After all, this song was really about Lisa on the verge of collapse. On the emotional edge between wondering and loss. The psychedelic and unrealistic feeling that made Lisa 's impromptu chorus gives the song it's soul.

"Satisfied" tells us we don't need to be down to be satisfied.
Waiting for someone to come back to you, the long nights of pain and suffering. But gradually she had lost her instinct to take care of herself, the pain had entangled her heart everyday and time gradually passed away.
It is almost impossible to let go of the only "he" in your heart that you care about and trust. Can you understand? 
But everything is reality and it is cruel. When we wake up and think about it, as long as we have loved, owned, sincerely loved and enjoyed the romantic times we should be "Satisfied". 
Throughout writing and recording this song Lisa was in a state of mind that couldn't let go of the entanglement. However, in the face of cruel reality and suppressed emotions that cannot be controlled the inspiration for 'Satisfied" crystallized.
This is the second song written after "It Doesn't Matter". Although it says "it doesn't matter", I still can't let go of it in my heart, and I have to convince myself to be "Satisfied".

This song has been played on stations such as "A1 Chinese Radio Toronto" ,”Industrial Radio station "The Road and us", "Taiwan Radio's Independent Music Lecture eps.28"and shown live on Fairchild Television
