The Ultimate Purpose of Life

“This is the end of the matter. All has been heard. Fear God, and keep his commandments; for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every work into judgment, with every hidden thing, whether it is good, or whether it is evil.” (Ecclesiastes‬ ‭12:13-14‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

The person who wrote the Book of Ecclesiastes is the richest and wisest mortal man in history: King Solomon.

After sharing all his wisdom, his conclusion is this: our whole duty is to fear God (worship Him with reverential awe) and keep His commandments (to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and to love one another as Christ loved us).

“Jesus said these things, and lifting up his eyes to heaven, he said, “Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may also glorify you; even as you gave him authority over all flesh, he will give eternal life to all whom you have given him. This is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Jesus Christ.” (John‬ ‭17:1-3‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

If you have been wondering, this is the purpose for which we were born: to know Abba God and Jesus Christ.

Not just in the mind, but to know God experientially, intuitively, and eventually face-to-face.

There will be a time of judgment in the future, but for a believer, there is no sentence of condemnation because our evil works have already been judged in Jesus’ body at the cross. He endured the fiery wrath of God on our behalf.

All that is left for us is to receive the rewards for both open and hidden good works done for Christ.

If you live your life keeping the Grace commandments—basically a life of leaning on God’s love and sharing that love with others, you will be greatly rewarded when it is time to stand before Jesus’ throne.

Wait, what? We get spared for all the evil deeds that we do and get rewarded for all the good works done by using the grace that God first gave to us? Yes, it sounds way too good to be true, but it is the truth.

Most believers have no idea what God’s rewards are. They know of blessings, but when it comes to rewards, it is hardly taught about. The common misconception is to mix up blessings and rewards—but these two are different.

Blessings were paid for by Jesus’ blood at the cross, and God has already blessed us with every spiritual blessing in Heaven. On the other hand, rewards are still with Jesus in Heaven. He said that His reward is with Him—we will only receive them after He comes again.

““Behold, I come quickly. My reward is with me, to repay to each man according to his work.” (Revelation‬ ‭22:12‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

這書是《在天堂遇見的五個人》的續集，當中揭露了被Eddie拯救出來的小女孩Annie的身世。故事由Annie的大婚之日開始，以為終於找到幸福的她，在新婚之夜，因為幾個臨時的決定改變了一生，與丈夫一起遇到意外。在天堂裡，Annie像Eddie一樣陸續遇見五個人(其中一個很自然的就是Eddie)，他們分別讓她學懂五樣功課，讓她瞭解到世事如何互相影響着。

之前提及《在天堂遇見的五個人》一書中，作者在關於男主角如何寬恕父親之事上交待得不夠，情節也略嫌牽強；但在續集中，作者安排Annie的母親成為她在天堂遇見的其中一人，兩母女在天堂互訴秘密，冰釋前嫌，關係終於得以修補，這是比前書寫得更好、更動人心弦 的地方，也讓讀者反思溝通和及時表達愛及關心的重要性。除了人與人之間的關係，作者也描寫人與寵物間的緣份和情誼。書中充滿觸動人心之處， 越看越有共鳴。

Remember God After You Have Prospered

“You shall observe to do all the commandments which I command you today, that you may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which Yahweh swore to your fathers. You shall remember all the way which Yahweh your God has led you these forty years in the wilderness, that he might humble you, to prove you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments, or not. He humbled you, and allowed you to be hungry, and fed you with manna, which you didn’t know, neither did your fathers know; that he might teach you that man does not live by bread only, but man lives by every word that proceeds out of Yahweh’s mouth. Your clothing didn’t grow old on you, neither did your foot swell, these forty years. You shall consider in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so Yahweh your God disciplines you. You shall keep the commandments of Yahweh your God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him. For Yahweh your God brings you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of springs, and underground water flowing into valleys and hills; a land of wheat and barley, and vines and fig trees and pomegranates; a land of olive trees and honey; a land in which you shall eat bread without scarceness, you shall not lack anything in it; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills you may dig copper. You shall eat and be full, and you shall bless Yahweh your God for the good land which he has given you. Beware lest you forget Yahweh your God, in not keeping his commandments, and his ordinances, and his statutes, which I command you today; lest, when you have eaten and are full, and have built fine houses, and lived in them; and when your herds and your flocks multiply, and your silver and your gold is multiplied, and all that you have is multiplied; then your heart might be lifted up, and you forget Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage; who led you through the great and terrible wilderness, with venomous snakes and scorpions, and thirsty ground where there was no water; who poured water for you out of the rock of flint; who fed you in the wilderness with manna, which your fathers didn’t know; that he might humble you, and that he might prove you, to do you good at your latter end: and lest you say in your heart, “My power and the might of my hand has gotten me this wealth.” But you shall remember Yahweh your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth; that he may establish his covenant which he swore to your fathers, as it is today.” (Deuteronomy 8:1-18 WEB)

The Lord gave me a word “scorpions” which led me to this passage.

I sense that a lot of us here have been through a long wilderness journey where we have been asking God “How long more,” and we are already close to entering our promised land.

As we are about to enjoy His marvelous restoration and multiplication of provision in our lives, in whatever way He has been leading you, REMEMBER HIM when you go into the land flowing with milk and honey.

Don’t forget all the precious lessons about humility and faith that you learned while in the dry wilderness.

Money can be destructive because the sinful flesh is tempted to make money its idol.

Keep your eyes on Jesus…

There is a reason why things take time. The preparation phase is needed so that you would be able to handle the sudden multiplication.

Despite all the tough times, God has always been faithful to you, and you are still alive. Give thanks to Him!

Under the New Covenant of Grace, to keep God’s commandments means to believe in Jesus Christ and to love one another as Christ has loved us. Will you allow yourself to continue being led by the Spirit to walk in love, even after you have prospered?

I say again, REMEMBER HIM. Okay, now go and possess your promised land. The Lord shall go before you, and you will approach it one step at a time with each passing day!

Who else feels like they aged 5 times faster from 2020? I am now 34 years old. I am a whole 13 years older than when I first started to make videos. It’s crazy how quick time flies. Hello Friends,

It is always a magical feeling to make your own journal and keep your precious memories inside it. Here I came up with a very simple tutorial that basically only requires three items ( Papers, Stapler and Washi) and you can have your little book for keepsakes and journaling. I have no knowledge in book binding at all and I believe some of you might be just like me, and this tutorial is specially made for people like us!
