#為何香港是新冷戰下的東柏林

「若然全球陷入新冷戰，在威權政體和自由世界之間，香港必然就是新柏林。」在上世紀的冷戰，柏林仍是資本主義與共產主義競爭的地域，而香港如今則成為民主與獨裁對抗的重要陣地。毋容置疑，中國共產黨很想擴大其影響力，如以經濟影響力爭取世界同盟靠攏其命令，但我相信越來越多國家將意識其威脅並投入抵抗。

外交專家們已經指出，中美持續的緊張關係，從結構上將改變世界秩序，也說明國際社會描述角力為新冷戰的源起。我想，貿易戰只是一個開始，接下來的信息競賽和科技競爭，反而更為關鍵。即使香港不像上世紀的柏林一樣劃分為四個佔領區，但也被界分分為兩個陣營，支持中共專政和支持自由與民主的政府。

若然香港不能力挽狂瀾，將產生骨牌效應，動搖世界經濟體系的既有秩序，並衝擊本來大家所擁抱的民主信仰。這就說明，香港抗爭並非只限於影響香港人，香港抗爭的未來形勢，在地緣政治的層面，將牽一髮而動全身。

’If we are in the new Cold War, HK is the new Berlin.’’ -- for we are now standing between the free world and the dictatorship of China. I’m not an expert in academic but perhaps the historical context would help us shed light on many similarities.

First of all, during the Cold War, Berlin was the forefront of the two competing ideologies - Capitalism & Communism; ironically, at present, Hong Kong has become the wrestling ground for two ideologies-- Democratic values, liberties versus absolute dictatorship. The communist party is very eager in expanding its influence in the world and setting up satellite states through economic means. The free world is realizing its intention and preparing itself to resist its threat.

Diplomatic experts already pointed out that the ongoing tension between China and US had structurally changed the world order & would eventually escalate into the new Cold War. The trade dispute is only the beginning, there lies the information and technology competition. The development in 2020 has proven so. And Hong Kong is like Berlin, not being physically divided into four occupation zones, but is divided into two opposing ideologies-- the government that supports the dictatorship and those who support freedom and democracy.

However, if HK falls, the domino effect will follow, it will hinder the world’s economy & the beliefs of democracy. That is why we, HKers are not just fighting this uphill battle for our own. The world and we, are all in this together.

JOSHUA WONG BANNED FROM LEGCO ELECTION

我在今天下午3時56分收獲九龍東選舉主任蔡敏君女士的來信，與十一名民主派參選人同被裁定提名無效，即被取消參選資格，現正與律師團隊研究選舉主任的理由，稍後公布。

政權大規模取消參選資格的舉動，無異於選舉舞弊，國際社會對是次中共的舉動，定必看在眼內。同時間，這次DQ規模超出所有人的預計範圍，形勢確是嚴峻的。

絕不意外，政權的下一步，就是借疫情來取消選舉，以「臨時立法會2.0」為軍政府開路通過惡法，正式廢除僅餘制衡的權力，鋪路讓香港步入「萬年國代 2.0」的黑暗時代。

很抱歉，我未能將31398名選民於初選的托付帶往議事堂，但我絕不會浪費每一位的民意授權。即使政府DQ了我的參選資格，但我一天未被國安法送中，政權也不能DQ我委身於民主運動的資格。

未來如何是好？如看到這段文字的你，在刻下感到灰心失意，覺得失落的話，我想引用以下一番話勉勵大家：

「政府要封殺我們的參選之門，我們會開另一道門，去為香港的民主運動找到出路。我曾說過，可能我們以後再沒有機會步入議事堂，但我們能做一世的異見者。

如果連監獄的牢獄之災都不能打擊我們的決心，不能夠參選難道就會令到我們從此退卻呢？不會。

我們會用行動，而非只是口號，去證明給大家看，未來三年，五年，十年，都有我們這一代，在九七前後，主權移交後出生的一代人，在香港這個家園，繼續奮鬥下去。」

這是我在兩年前，當香港公民社會如同低潮一般，於周庭被 DQ 集會所說的話。那時，社會對政治運動不感興趣，國際也對香港缺乏關心，但我們還是照舊那樣撐過來了。即使，現在的情況很惡劣，但我對香港人有信心，我們還會有出路。至少，這兩年來，大家也是這樣走過來的。

有關具體形勢，容我作思考，有下一步計畫，亦會在未來幾天作適時公佈，但無論任何情況，我黃之鋒也跟大家承諾，未來，我會承載著選民在最後一次自由選舉的授權，以及眾人的期望，繼續投入本地抗爭，同時爭取世界與香港人站在同一陣線。

1. Returning Officer Alice CHOI has decided my nomination invalid today at about 3:56pm. I was just disqualified from running in the upcoming LegCo election in Hong Kong, even though I got the highest vote share in the primary, with 31398 votes obtained.

2. The excuse they use is that I describe national security law as a draconian law, which shows that I do not support this sweeping law.

3. Despite 610,000+ Hongkongers voting in Hong Kong’s primary, Beijing now staged the biggest-ever crackdowns on the city’s election, by disqualifying nearly all pro-democracy runners, from young progressive groups to traditional moderate parties.

4. Clearly, Beijing shows a total disregard for the will of the Hongkongers, tramples upon the city’s last pillar of vanishing autonomy and attempts to keep Hong Kong’s legislature under its firm grip.

5. However, in order to safeguard the city’s future, HKers will not surrender. Our resistance will continue on and we hope the world can stand with us in the upcoming uphill battle.//

近年，社會矛盾不斷、民怨沸騰，人民求變心切，但抗爭光譜差別大，趨兩極化。從雨傘運動到近日的旺角衝突，我們都見識到因對政權不滿而抗爭的力量有多大，影響社會的程度多廣。有人認為有意見應該透過合法、和平、理性、非暴力的方法表達，以求社會秩序諧和；有人直斥港英時代留下來的「和理非」已經不合時宜亦不奏效，認為應該適當運用武力；更多人於這兩極游走，宣示中立。究竟香港該如何取決未來抗爭方向、走出困局？

於三月一日(星期二)下午十二時四十五分到二時正於香港大學中山廣場舉行論壇，論題為「香港未來抗爭方向」。嘉賓講者包括(排名不分前後)公民黨黨魁、立法會議員梁家傑先生、青年新政發言人黃俊傑先生 、電影《十年》－《自焚者》導演周冠威先生以及勇武前綫友好組織成員、UmbrA成員MJ先生。

【Social Sciences Society Forum】

Hong Kong is under great struggle and discontent in recent years. People are demanding for changes, but the spectrum of resistance is extending towards the two ends and heading to polarisation.

From the Umbrella Movement to the battle of Mongkok, we witnessed resistance source from the rotten authority and the failed governance of the existing government. It provoked our reflection over the future direction and possible ways of resistance for the betterment of Hong Kong.

Some claimed that we should accept the authority and express opinions with institutional means and there is not necessary for resistance. Some suggested that concerns should be raised in a peaceful, rational and non-violent manner while some proposed that such manner prohibited from the British colonial period has been outdated and more radical ways must be adopted from the past failed experience of Umbrella Movement and countless peaceful expressions. Where should Hong Kong station at the spectrum?

The Social Sciences Society, HKUSU is held a forum on 1st March, 2016, from 12:45 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Happy Park in HKU. The title of the forum is “Future Resistance Path of Hong Kong”. The guest speakers are (listed in no particular order) Alan Leong Kah-kit, leader of the Civic Party and the Legislative Council Member; Kenny Wong Chun-kit, Spokesperson of Youngspiration; Chow Kwun-wai, director of “Self Immolator” in “Ten Years”; Mr Mj, member of the friendship organization of Valiant Frontier and member of UmbrA.
