Again have nice time with family on Borneo - Kota Kinabalu, combined with race BUTM. Nice and relatively fast course with many nice views, include sunrise and majestic Kinabalu mt. Few jungle crossing, many suspense bridges....
When I study course and split times from last year I was wondering why runners got much slower in second half, too technical?
Got answer around 8:30am - "No matter how fast you are, the HEAT will get you". Luckily I set very conservative strategy and run easily in first half, which allows me survive the heat (nothing easy) to the the finish line in new course record 5:45:33, and almost 1h20m before second runner in.

Congratulations to Quinn Seaton get 5th place in his first 50km. Congratulations to all finishers of 30 and 50km and respect to who took part in BUTM100, cannot imagine that.
